About us
The Kreative Foundation is a non-profit organisation helping emerging creatives build sustainable futures in the creative industries.
We bridge the gap between creative talent and the practical tools needed to build a career. Through workshops, mentorship, industry experiences and creative opportunities, we give young creatives access to skills that are often difficult to learn in traditional creative spaces, from business and entrepreneurship to mental wellness, professional development and navigating the industry.
We work across disciplines, bringing together dancers, performers, designers, filmmakers, photographers, musicians, artists and other creative minds to learn, collaborate and connect with working professionals.
At the heart of the Foundation is a simple belief: talent should not be limited by access. We want more creatives to have the knowledge, confidence, community and opportunities they need to turn what they love into something sustainable.

Our Programs
ACTIVATE WORKSHOP SERIES
The Activate Series is an open workshop series designed to equip young creative professionals with the entrepreneurial skills needed to build sustainable careers. Covering topics such as proposal writing, marketing, networking, media and professional development, each session combines practical learning with meaningful connection. The series brings together our beneficiaries, the wider Cape Town creative community and like-minded organisations, creating a space to learn, connect and grow.
Student learning series
The Student Learning Series connects students and young creatives under 35 directly with industry professionals for practical, hands-on learning and mentorship. Through workshops in areas such as choreography, film, design, makeup, styling, lighting and direction, participants gain real-world insight, develop their skills and learn how to turn creative ideas into practice. It’s about creating direct access to professionals who can teach, mentor and inspire the next generation of creatives.
kreative of the month
Creative of the Month is a showcasing platform dedicated to giving emerging creatives greater visibility and a body of work they can use to move their careers forward. Through editorial features, podcasts, interviews and professional photoshoots, we spotlight a different up-and-coming creative and their work. The series gives students and developing creatives, particularly those with limited access to industry opportunities, a professional proof of concept they can use to pursue funding, build their portfolios and access future work opportunities.
